Paul Weller has announced a series of gigs as part of The Forestry Commission's 2009 Forest Tours. Described as both the 'modfather of rock' and 'Britpop's elder statesman', Weller is acknowledged as one of the greatest singer-songwriters of British popular music. Support for these dates will come from Twisted Wheel.

He will perform at the following forests on these dates:
Fri 5th June Thetford Forest, Near Brandon, Suffolk.
Fri 12th June Delamere Forest, Delamere, Cheshire.
Fri 19th June Sherwood Pines Forest Park, Near Edwinstowe, Notts.
Sat 20th June Westonbirt Arboretum, Near Tetbury, Glos.
Fri 26th June Cannock Chase Forest, Near Rugeley, Staffs.
Sat 27th June Dalby Forest, Near Pickering, N Yorks.

The Forestry Commission is committed to taking woodlands to new audiences and making them relevant to people in new ways. The forest tour is self-sustaining, paying for itself, and providing valuable revenue to plough back into the woodland in a variety of environmental and social projects.

This will be a long-awaited return for his fans, having last played some forest dates in 2004 to capacity crowds.

Tickets for these forest dates were priced at £33, and have sold out.

Disabled users:
There is a disabled parking at every site and they all have a wheelchair platform although the nice thing is because of the arena's design wheelchair users often spend the time with their group as there is plenty of space and it is flat. There is a hotline number to call for further information: 01842 814612.

More information will be here when available.
