Freeze Festival 2012

Freeze Festival (formerly London Freeze) the snow sport and music event returns to Battersea Power Station in London on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th October 2012.

Line-up

After all the sports are completed the festival plays host to live music acts, with DJ Shadow, and Public Enemy, headlining. Also confirmed are A-Yo! (Mark Ronson vs. Zane Lowe), Grandmaster Flash, Stanton Warriors, DJ Ez, Snatch the Wax, Swami Baracus, Riz MC, Smiler, Astroid Boys, Future Disco, Vagabondz, Beat Medikz, Wolf Music, PBR Streetgang, Sean Brosnan, Dom Chung, Slothboogie, Wookie, Planas & Nightowl, Rattus Rattus, Ms Dynamite, Shy FX, The Nextmen, Raf Daddy, Major Look, Murkage, Star One, Madam X, Duke, Rebel Bingo, Scratch Perverts, Jacob Plant, Plastic Thumbs, Phuture Phunk, Crooked Cats, Urban Knights, Loud Minority, Jay Da Funk, and DJ Natty.

Skiers and Snowboarders compete throughout the weekend. The focal point of the event is the 17m table top real snow jump created for the LG London Big Air Event, part of the LG FIS (International Ski Federation) World Cup. While this event is for snowboarders there will also be some amazing skiing action. The run down of events includes Ski Union Battle of Britain, Whitelines Battle of Britain SB, Snowboard or Ski Cash Jams, International Ski Big Air, International Snowboard Big Air, Freeze Test Dummies, and Europe V The World Rider Cup.

Season ticket: Adult £65 - Children £35.
Adult day ticket (for either day) £40, Children £20.

Snowboarders

This year's competitiors are Halldor and Eikiv Helgason, Gjermund Braaten, Jamie Nicholls, Janne Korpi, Marko Grilc, Roope Tonteri, Staale Sandbech, and Ulrich Badertsher.

Invitational Snowboard Event

Snowboarding at Freeze will now allow an unrestricted field to the UK's only international snowboard event. The snowboard comp will now follow the same format as the ski event, Freeze Ski Big Air, and will invite the World's biggest names in the discipline.

Skiers

This year's competitiors are Bene Mayr, Henrik Harlaut, Jacob Wester, James Woods, Matt Walker, Mike Riddle, Oscar Harlaut, Paddy Graham, and PC Fosse.

Another new factor will be the grandstand seating available for those hardcore sports fans. Freeze will also introduce best trick events in both snowboard and ski and the classic Europe verses The World Rider Cup also returns.

Cinema

Movies will be presented in the O'Neill Cinema including exclusive UK premier of Jeremy Jones' Further. Other films include 2112, Unique 8 and Superheroes of Stoke.

Elsewhere there will be a resort style retail village with the brands showcasing their latest stock and selling all the new winter gear for the season ahead. Around the event there will be a number of bars and caterers serving up food and icy cold pints with Apres style resort bars and the winter themed chill out zones.
