The Frome Festival is now in its seventh year, and will take place from 6th - 15th July. Events take place at a wide variety of venues including the Memorial Theatre, Merlin Theatre, Cheese & Grain, ar various churches, and on the riverside.

The festival features more than 110 events over ten days, covering classical, jazz, folk, and world music, plus literary events, film, art, walks, talks, and workshops plus exhibitions throughout the town and surrounding area, daily Acoustic Breakfasts, a World Feast, a Summer School, and events for children.

Confirmed acts include Paul Merton, Ken Dodd, The Stranglers (14th July), Show of Hands (12th July), Cara Dillon, Judith Nicholls, Kevin McCloud, Timothy West, Salley Vickers, Michael Pennington. Other events include Vieux Farka Toure & saxophonist, Pee Wee Ellis at the Cheese & Grain on the 8th July, and the 3rd Frome International Lying Championship at the Griffin Inn on Sunday, 8th July.
