Worthy Farm, Pilton, nr Glastonbury, Somerset, England

I'm proud to say that glastonbury '99 was my first ever festival and what a way to lose my festival virginity it was! The minute I arrived on Thursday the festival spirit hit me. The first band I saw was the magnificent Blondie. Although they wasn't my first choice of bands to see it really amazed me at actually how many of their songs I knew so much in fact I hardly noticed the burning sun turning me red and I now have a very sore reminder of them! since being home I have purchased 3 of their albums!

Another amazing performance came from Hole! I really enjoyed being flung about and losing a flip flop in the cesspit! just enough time to find my tent somewhere near the pylon and change into my trusty trainers before heading to the Dance Tent to see the outstanding Fatboy Slim! Arriving just in time I managed to windle my way to within metres of the DJ God. Definitely the highlight of the weekend and a wicked mix of the rolling stones hit!

The Cardigans were definitely the best on Saturday! never actually realised how sexy the guitarist was until now just wish id gone to the signing tent before!!! Made it around to the Main stage in time to see Underworld and afterwards actually got to the front of the stage to see the Manics. Brilliant performance from the lads and I knew exactly how nicky felt when he needed the toilet I managed to hold it in to see the end.

Awoke sunday in time to attend the memorial to Jean. My condolences to Michael and many thanx.

Waited an hour and a half for Dogstar just to see if the rumours of Keanu's appearance was true! When he did turn up he looked gorgeous as ever! suprisingly they wasn't the worst band id ever heard as I'd been previously told.

Stood and waited for a good hour to meet the Fun Lovin' Criminals at the signing tent and then being told that we wouldn't be able to see them as they were only there for half an hour although I managed to get a really good shot of Huey and Mackie after some wonderful girl at the front took it for me! Thanx if your reading this!

Managed to get close to the front to see them though and it was definitely the 2nd best performance of the weekend after Fatboy Slim! Skunk Anansie rounded up the weekend magnificently! After a lot of drink and a round of people screaming bollocks from there tents I managed to get to sleep!

Arrived home Monday and found out just how much I treasured my nice clean toilet and a nice filling meal!

I'd like to say a massive thanx to Michael Eavis for making it possible and I will definitely be returning next year come rain or shine!
