Interview
Butterfly bumped into Bic from Darkstar...
Why do you like festivals?
The festivals are a really good time for people who don't get to see us, to get to see us. There are people all over the country and we can't play everywhere, so the festivals are an ideal time for people to get to see us, so it's good in that respect.
What's your favourite festival to play at?
That's a difficult one. It depends on who's playing. Glastonbury is always fun because it's such a big thing, and we've all been going there for years.
What do you spend your time doing?
Usually, all the normal things that you do. Hooking up with friends, getting smashed, lying around in a field in the sun, hopefully and missing all the bands you meant to see.
What has been your favourite festival experience so far?
Probably for Darkstar, recently, was Glastonbury last year, because it was a real surprise that so many people showed up and it was a really great gig and was really exciting. But we've been doing festivals for a long time and that was really exciting.
Weirdest experience?
Losing a day, I think that's about the weirdest one.
Who do you want to see?
There are some bands I want to see, last year I got to see some things that were a real surprise. I saw The Creatures - they were fantastic, just really innovative and different. Last year we saw the Flaming Lips, and I'd like to see them again. I saw them at Leeds last year and it was really good.
If we're not playing at any festivals this year, we're working on the new album, so we're too busy unfortunately
Any surprises planned for Glasto?
Ah, if I told you that it wouldn't be a surprise
