After a day of hot sunshine, pissing rain and enough booze and drugs to anaesthetise most of Switzerland, Glastonbury needed something to shake off it's torpor and get the party going. So the Pyramid had David Gray. Hmmm. But the pop kids in the know were at the little known out post that is the New Tent.
Fat gay man with sunshade? Present. Little straight man with Otis Redding on crack voice? Present? Then let Danish superstars in waiting, Junior Senior, take you on a whistle stop your of the last 40 years of pop music.
Scream as they play 'the hit'.
Boogie as they play Twist and Shout segued into Push It.
Smile as they play a Motown pastiche worthy of the SClub's mighty Reach.
Realise that 5 men playing guitars, experimenting with sonic soundscapes and making 'art' have got this pop music thing completely wrong.
My life has been affirmed. Junior Senior are the new Mozart. Believe.
