When is an Acoustic Tent not an Acoustic Tent? When The Frames are playing.

From the same Irish talent collective that brought you Damien Rice and Gemma Hayes, The Frames are something of an institution. Sadly it is an institution of a fantastically talented band that can't catch a major break over in the UK.

Their songs vary from delicate and beautiful in "What Happens When The Heart Just Stops" to full-on rock legend for the storming "Revelate", complete with more electrical guitars and situation than you can shake a particularly large stick at. In between they manage to encompass Kool and The Gang, harmonicas, Rolf Harris, Rage Against The Machine and an impromptu cover of "Rhinestone Cowboy".

The crowd were in love with Geln Hansard and his men, but it was when he confided in us that they were supposed to jet back to Ireland to finish their new record, but they had cancelled their tickets and were going to stay all weekend because they were having fun, that they cemented their place in our hearts, and made the Not-So-Acoustic Tent their own.
