This is the place to witness one of the most talked-about events at Glastonbury 2005, The Silent Disco. This runs from 1am 5am each night and is presented by Dutch collective Private Dance Parties who have been hosting these unique events since 2002. 1,000 revellers, each equipped with a pair of specially-equipped radio headphones will have the chance to go crazy-ape without disturbing the neighbours. This is the first time the PDP collective have come to the UK and it promises to be one of the festivals highlights. DJs for this are No DJ and DJ OD on Friday with Ninja Tunes acts Hextatic, Coldcuts Matt Black, and Jon More on Saturday and Nick Warren and Will White on Sunday.
The tent also boasts a stack of big names playing through traditional PA-type thingies including Stereo MCs, 808 State and Plump DJs with live shows from Dreadzone, London Electricity, The Bays and Banco de Gaia.
