In a tumultuous start to the year, we have another confirmed headliner for Glastonbury Festival 2025 – Neil Young!

Young released a statement (now removed) on 1st January 2025 on his self-published blog, stating that he would no longer be performing at Glastonbury due to it "being under corporate control". On 3rd January, he issued another statement clarifying that there had been "an error in the information received" and that he would, in fact, be playing Glastonbury 2025 after all. This all occurred before he was officially confirmed by the festival organisers.

Emily Eavis, one of the organisers, confirmed shortly after Young's correction that he will indeed be headlining the 2025 festival, saying, "(Neil Young) does things his own way, and that's why we love him. We can't wait to welcome him back here to headline the Pyramid in June" – source.
