Run by Michael Eavis (of Glastonbury Festival) for over ten years, and set in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey, it has seen many memorable performances over the years. This year the event takes place on Sunday 11th August, 2013. Gates open 6pm.

This unique event has grown in stature over the years and is already a high spot in the musical calendar of the South West. It's a real occasion, with stage screeens, beautiful water fountains, lights, candelabra, picnics, and a fireworks finale.

Line-up

Bryan Ferry and his orchestra will headline, before the traditional closing fireworks display. Supporting will be Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel.

Ticket information:

Tickets are priced at £35 per Adult ticket (in advance), £20 for children (aged 6 – 16 years), 5's and under free. £95 for a family of two adults and three children. Gate prices are £40 adult, £25 for a child aged six to 16, £120 for a family of two adults and three children. Children must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. Tickets are anticipated to sell very quickly.

In person at the Abbey Shop where there is free collection or £1.50 delivery charge. By posting a cheque/postal order made payable to Glastonbury Festivals Ltd, to Glastonbury Extravaganza, 28 Northload Street, Glastonbury, Somerset, BA6 9JJ indicating number of tickets required, postal details and delivery fee of £1.50 per order.

Getting there

A free park and ride service from Clarks Village in Street operates both nights from 5pm and will shuttle people to and from the Abbey.
