The 19th Great British R& B Festival takes place Friday 22nd to Monday 25th August in Colne, Lancashire.
The Great British R & B Festival has a reputation for showcasing R & B talents in a family friendly atmosphere. The festival has three main stages, The International, British, and Acoustic, as well as various events happening in 'Roadhouse Venues'.
The International Stage features:
Friday 22nd August: MC Chris Powers, Supercharge, Dr Feelgood, Nine Below Zero, and Eddie and the Hot Rods.
Saturday 23rd August: MC Chris Powers, Linda Gail Lewis with Blues Band, Ian Parker Band, Clause Ingstrom and Skyhigh (Sweden), The Zombies, Billy Boy Arnold, and The Yardbirds.
Sunday 24th August: MC Chris Powers, King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys, Kyla Brox, Nuno Mindelis (the Beast from Brazil), Arden Youth Choir, Taste, Ruby Turner, and Walter Trout.
Monday 25th August: MC Chris Powers, Danny Bryant's RedEye Band, Albert Lee and Hogans Heroes, Maggie Bell & Blues Quintet & Zoot Money, Steve Cropper, Andy Fairweather Low, and Wilko Johnson Band.
The British Stage features:
Friday 22nd August: MC Pete Kuddy, Robin BiBi Band, Karac, and Little Stevie & the Business.
Saturday 23rd August: MC Pete Kuddy, Lights Out By Nine, Cullin Blues, Scott Whitley Blues Experience, Bill Daison Band feat. George Glover, Revelator Band, Adrian Ingram's Blues Station, and The Paul Rose Band.
Sunday 24th August: The 'Blues Matters Stage' with acts to be announced.
Monday 25th August: MC Pete Kuddy, Krissy Mathews Band, The Steve French Band, Stumble, Gugun & Blues Shelter, Cliff Stocker's Legendary Slack Alice, and Larry Miller Band.
The Acoustic Stage features:
Friday 22nd August: MC King Rollo, King Rollo, Singapore Slim & the Junkhouse Dog, and The Last Gasp Spasm Band.
Saturday 23rd August: MC King Rollo, Kent Duchaine, Lee Bates & Billy Newton, Paul Rose (Acoustic), Open Mic Session, Giles Hedley, Kent Duchaine, Giles Hedley, and Hokum Hotshots.
Sunday 24th August: MC King Rollo, Graham Robinson, Mud in your Ear, Tom Doughty, Open Mic Session, Tom Doughty, Emily Druce, Pie, and Gary Boyles Bruze.
Monday 25th August: MC King Rollo, Diamond Doc Charnley, Jet Martin, Andy Stone (Winchesters), Open Mic Session, Bowden & Williamson, Billy Martin Jnr, and King Rollo.
The Roadhouse venues include performances from Lost City Sinners, Chantel McGregor, Sly Fox, Alligators, Dago Red, Stealer, Green Mac, Blue to the Bone, Wot The Fuss, Charlie White Project, Molly Bloom, Straight Razor Angels, Ian Fowkes - Route 66, Cold Flame, Fred the Oyster, G Spot Blues, Dealer, Graham Robinson, Singapore Slim & the Junkhouse Dog, Dave Arcari, Mud in your Ear, Emily Druce & Steve Jones Band, Paul Judge, Gary Boyles Bruze, Lee Bates & Billy Newton, Blue Kings, Hokum Hotshots, Andy Stone, Billy Martin Jnr, Ernies Rhythm Section, Willie Brown's Rhythm Method, Olly Alcock Band, MT Arms, Jet Martin, Ian Alverston's Kushty Rye, Dago Red, Diamond Doc Charnley, and Free Bird.
When booked before 28th June full festival tickets that give unlimited access to all the venues for the whole weekend are on sale for just £85 for adults and £42.50 for children. International Stage Day tickets are also available and range from £20 to £32.50 for adults and £10 to £16.25 for children. Camping for a full weekend is priced at £34 or £12 per day.
