The Big Day Out in Whittington Park will take place on Saturday 8th June as part of the 11th Holloway Arts Festival.

The FREE event will last from 1 - 5pm and promises to bring together a full schedule of events featuring local and international artists and performers, film screenings, arts workshops and performance for everyone.

Line-up

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2013. The acts will programmed by Michael Warren from the Lovebuzz Project, showcasing emerging and established local talent from Holloway

Other entertainment at Big Day Out

There will also be dance performances and workshops and a range of themed arts and crafts workshops, street theatre, children's shows and many opportunities to get creative with film-making, badge-making, hat-making and mosaic-making workshops.

A variety of dance activities and workshops throughout the afternoon, will include 'Step Together' and 'Egyptian Dance' Groups for over 55s, Hip Hop and Contemporary dance performed by One Youth Dance Company.

Free workshops and activities

Free workshops and activities include an Arsenal Penalty Shoot Out, Children's Arts and Crafts run from the One O'Clock Club, Jacksons Jugglers - have a go at circus skills, Piano Fun Club, Ping Pong in the Park, Tai chi, Yoga with Belinda Rhodes and Paula Hollings, Bug Hunt with The Wildlife Trust Craft Stall, Creative Corner to celebrate Whittington Park led by Debbie Warrener, and a local Dog Show Competition run by Hornsey Vets, and top tips for how to be a responsible dog owner.
