Hungamunga Festival 2010

The Hungamunga Festival takes place this year at Gallery Cafe, Bethnal Green, Greater London on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd August and offers arts and crafts, live music, comedy, performance art, gameshows, and more.

Line-up

Saturday: (The Gallery Cafe) Piney Gir, Liz Green, Hot Brew, Adelaide's Cape, Alma No Fear, Fire Stations, Original Fireplace, Seymour's Fat Lady, Monooka, K Anderson.

Sunday: (BGWMC) The Real Tuesday Weld, Yearner Babies, The Good Gods, Budda Cakes, Moustache of Insanity, Sara Schiralli, Tom and Jim.

There will also be gameshows, life-drawing, burlesque, a raffle, amazing performance pieces, visuals and installations from Barometric Theatre, and animation duo Sculpture.

Tickets

Tickets will be £20 (for two days) or £10 (for one day) in advance or £12 each day on the door. To buy tickets, click here.

Food & drink

Food and drink is available on both days too.

Charity

part of the proceeds from this festival will go to St Margarets House, a charity helping local residents, the homeless and vulnerable women in the area.

Theme

This year the theme is 'animation' so expect animators, cartoonists and film-makers to come and share their craft in workshops where festival goers can make zoetropes, phenakistoscopes, flipbooks and short animations as well as comic strips and puppets... and on Sunday the animations will be screened along with some of the organisers' favourite animated shorts.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
