The Just So Festival is a small, weekend-long festival of creativity aimed at children, young people and their families at a new site at Rode Hall Parkland, near Scholar Green (just 10 miles from the old site at Barnswood) in Cheshire, held over the weekend of Friday 17th until Sunday 19th August 2012. Ths year it welcomes families to 'the high seas!'.

Line-up

Cut A Shine are confirmed for Friday night as are the Bonfire Band complete with bonfire. Also announced are Sheelanagig, Robbie Boyd Band, Fiona Bevan, Nick Cope, Foxpockets, Louis Barabbas & the Bedlam Six, Classical Revolution, Familyoke!, YOB, The Beautiful Word, Common Tongues, Dr Butlers Hatstand Medicine Band, Arthur Rigby and the Baskervylles, Michael Buckley, Weekend Sun, Mazaika, Hooks, and Konkoma Maximum Love Garden Orchestra, with many more still to be discovered at the festival.

Tickets

The early bird offer has ended. An adult weekend ticket (16+) is priced at £85, a weekend child ticket (aged 3-15 years) is priced at £35, with children aged under 3 free to attend.

An adult day ticket (16+) is priced at £25, a child day Ticket (3-15) is priced at £12.50. Under 3s day tickets are free. All under 18s must be accompanied to the festival by a responsible adult.

Babies

The family festival experience includes family camping, nice loos, baby changing tents with changing mats and wipes, a breast-feeding boudoir, an area with electicity points for bottle warmers and sterilisers, and more.

New for 2012

Just So Festival is set at a new location beside a lake in Rode Park in Cheshire. This year sees a few new areas unveiled including 'All the world's a stage' where families will be challenged to dream up and perform a play in an hour; 'Forty Winks' offers bedtime dancers in the trees, choral lullabies, bedtime stories and pillowfights and a chance to laze in the dens, read some books and snooze; a Hall of Mirrors; 'Nowherenow' a place of illusion; and more.

Other attractions

The festival will provides an experience where art, music and literature are embedded and entwined in a beautiful and wonderous seascape themed landscape. Expect also a lantern parade, midnight feast, festival opera, festival choir, Pirate training with costumes galore, children's authors and illustrators, boat building workshops, Stone balancing, Eastnor Pottery, The Gruffalo, steam punk puppet ship, storyteller John Row, a silver whale to venture into, puppet show, Familyoke, and more.
