Galloway's celtic/roots/world music festivals were running twice-yearly in the spectacular hills of Scotland's Southern Uplands since 1998 with the World Ceilidh germinating from the well known Ceilidh Gall Gallowa' Spring festival. This year the festival returns as a four day event from Thursday 27th until Sunday 30th May 2010 and with the September event called Doonhame Hairth.

The festival held at Knockengorroch farm, Carsphairn, Kirkubrightshire, in Scotland will feature musicians from around the world heading for the far flung location.
