After a year off, Lancaster Music Festival will return for its 10th edition to take place from Thursday 10th to Monday 14th October 2019.

Lancaster Music Festival is famous for reflecting the city of Lancaster's musical abundance, excellence and diversity. The festival will feature over 300 acts performing a wide range of genres at over 40 venues all within walking distance across the city of Lancaster. Many shows will be free, with headline concerts inside the courtyard of historic Lancaster Castle.

Tickets are on sale, priced at £25 for the 3 days. Day tickets also available.

Venues

Live music venues include the main stage at Lancaster Castle, all four of Lancaster's historic outdoor squares, Williamson Park, countless pubs, bars, restaurants, coffee places, theatres, shops, two local breweries and, new for this year two heritage double-decker buses and a flotilla of canal barges.

There are venues open at all times with at least one with a 24 hour licence. The festival caters for kids of all ages from 8 to 80. The venues are within easy walking distance of each other and are located mostly in the city centre. There are plenty of accommodation options, as well as many places to eat and drink in Lancaster, and the festival is very centrally located.

Almost all the shows are free (there’s a nominal £2 entry into the Castle and there are several ticketed events). Venues will be hosting live music all times of day, with at least two venues with a 24 hour licence. For beer lovers, there is an unofficial Festival Ale specially taste-tested by our festival team. There is also a wide variety of excellent eateries for appetites worked up by wandering from venue to venue, dancing or from general carousing. For visitors to the city there are plenty of hotels providing overnight accommodation (we advise early booking as rooms tend to sell out fast), as well as a campsite at Lancaster Cricket Ground.
