The second London International Ska Festival is set to take place across 3 venues (one wristband gets you into all of them) -The Brixton Academy, The Sheperds Bush Empire and The Islington Academy, in London on Thursday 3rd through to Sunday 6th May 2012.
The festival is set to highlight all that's good about the world of ska, from it's roots in American Rhythm & blues, to the Jamaican originators, through the 2 Tone era and right up-to-date with 21st century ska sounds.
Line-up
2012's line up promises 40 acts including Jamaican legends, a 2 Tone Revue, world exclusives, plus acts from 15 countries. Acts announced include Freddie Notes, Dandy Livingstone "Rudy A Message To You", The Pioneers, Dawn Penn (Stc) "No, No, No", The Dualers, Neville Staple & Neol Davies Aka The Selecter (double header), Hotknives (original line-up), Fishbone (USA), Buster Shuffle, The Skints, Rebelation, The Moon Invaders (Belgium), Los Granadians (Spain), The Delegators, Capone & The Bullets, and The Kinky Coo Coo's (Spain).The DJs confirmed are Gladdy Waxx, Andy Smith, Count Skylarkin, Tim Wells, Steve Rice (Downbeat Melody), DJ Amma, Mark Barrett (Pressure Drop), 3DJ (Funkdub), Dave Walker (Thursday Night Fish Fry).

Tickets
The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £122 for all four days, or £28.50 for day tickets for Thursday or Friday, £25 for Saturday, and £20 for Sunday. Both band venues being used this year O2 Academy Islington and O2 Shepherds Bush Empire allow under 18s in their venues including 14s if accompanied by an adult at all times. Both venues also have access & facilities for wheelchair users.Accommodation
