The 7th biennial Luminate Festival takes place from Wednesday 1st until Wednesday 8th February 2017 at Canaan Downs, Takaka Hill, in New Zealand/Aotearoa.
Luminate celebrates the ancient summer harvest festival of Lughnasadgh, midway between the summer solstice and autumn equinox.

The first acts announced for the festival's 2 main stages are:
Live Stage: Desert Dwellers, Pitch Black, Ott & The All-Seeing I, Deya Dova, Dubarray, Kaminanda, My Baby, Ungus Ungus Ungus, Wild Marmalade, Formidable Vegetable Sound System, Zen Mechanics, Dark Nebula, Ryanosaurus, Unseen Dimensions, Interpulse, Sixis, Hypnotech, Mr Squatch, Knights of the Dub Table, Matiu Te Huki with My Golden Soul, and Hunter de Luz ( Karen Hunter).

Tickets
Early bird adult tickets are priced at $235, and Youth (14-18yrs) tickets are priced at $95. Children 13 and under, and seniors over 75 attend for free.

Luminate offers a diverse range of live music and electronica spanning five zones. Delivering an international line-up alongside home-grown talent.
Workshops include permaculture, yoga, science, health, drumming, dance, circo-arts, music, and traditional crafts. With a village market, healing zone, tribal drum circle, circus space, performance arts and lots of activities for children.
Luminate is renowned for its strong environmentally conscious focus. Bring your own plates/cups for the market. All cafes run by Luminate are vegetarian and Organic. With no rubbish or recycling bins on site you pack out what you bring in. Eco amenities include composting toilets and solar showers.
Enjoy camping in a stunning natural environment. Luminate is a non-alcohol, family-friendly event.
