Marlborough International Jazz was founded in 1986, and takes place annually in many venues across Marlborough in Wiltshire. In 2008, the festival takes place from Friday 11th July until Sunday 13th July.

The line-up is as follows:
Friday: The Red Stripe Band, Steve "Big Man" Clayton and the 44's, The Tim Kliphuis Quartet, The Jive Aces, Ray Harris and The Fusion Experience, Sticky Wicett Little Big Band, The Wedding Band, Julie Felix, The Slaughterhouse Quartet, Coup de Grass, Baraka, The Bob Hall Trio, Gabby Young's Acoustic Set, Curios, Built for Comfort, The Overtones, The Bullfrog Blues Band, The TJ Johnson Band, Robin Jones and King Salsa, Carmina, The Zoe Galant Quartet, Carpe Diem, and Zeya Phillips and Zeyamusic.

Saturday: Clare Teal, Chris Jagger and the Atcha Band, Synthesis, Paddy Milner and the Big Sounds, The Eduardo Niebla Trio, Bob Barnard and the European Classic Jazz Band, The Cass Caswell Trio, Tad Newton's Jazz Friends, Cubana Bop, The Sally Doherty Quartet, Claridade, Loz Speyer's Time Zone, Groovenik, The Filthy Six, Baby Charles, 3G, African Dance and Song Workshop with Chimanimani, Laye Sow Quintet, Méta Méta, The Red Hot Rhythmakers, The Ritchie Bryant All Stars, The Kremlinaires, The Baddest Blues Band Ever, Tamsin Collison and her Trio, Robotnik, Protect the Beat, CrazyBread, Becki Biggins with the Laurie Holloway Trio, Toschia Comeaux, Danny Clarke and his Griot, Ray Harris and The Fusion Experience, The Geoff Eales Trio, The Gary Potter Trio, George Haslam's Mature Five, The Matt Wates Sextet, The Pete Allen Jazz Band, The Sue Hawker Quartet, Paul Leegan and the Legends, 'Old Codger' – a Tribute to George Melly, The Bob Bowles Trio, The Helen J Hicks Quartet, Laura Zakian, The Jazz Lamp, Tamsin Collison, Kennet Vale Brass, The Katya Gorrie Quartet, Danny Clarke and his Griot, Oi Sambista, Guitar and Hang, Bill Mather, Busk, The Local Crew, Unfurl, The Collette Cassin Quartet, Ipsofacto, 3bpm, The Red Stripe Band, Afro Blue, The Bob Hall Trio, Acoustic Jass, Spats Dillinger and the Buzzing Half Dozen, Artesian Hall Stompers, the Wedding Band, Wiltshire Youth Jazz Orchestra, Swindon Youth Jazz Orchestra, Out of the Blue, Matt Adey, The Mike Collins Trio, The Greasy Gravy Blues Band, Three for the Floor, The Local Crew, and Gabby Young and Other Animals. The Africa Bandstand will be non-stop from 10.30am. In between the acts, 'Kaya, the Spirit of the Drum' will demonstrate their skills.

Sunday: Afro Blue, The Slaughterhouse Seven, and Benny Goodman's 1938 Carnegie Hall Concert recreated by Pete Long and his Goodmen.

As well as individual concerts, a major feature is the 'Stroller'. These are tickets that enable the holder to see a large number of bands in over 20 locations on Friday evening from 6pm and Saturday from before 12 noon until after midnight.

Single Day Strollers are priced as follows: Friday £17, Saturday £27, Sunday Marquee £16. There are also combination strollers available: a Friday & Saturday is priced at £40.
