The dates for Meltdown 2013 are confirmed to be from Friday 14th until Sunday 23rd June 2013.

Each year MELTDOWN offers a guest director the chance to produce his or her own fantasy festival, mixing artists and art forms, reflecting their own personal passions and interests. The director for 2013 is Yoko Ono.

Line-up

The line-up includes Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band performing on the opening night, Siouxsie Sioux, Sean Lennon collaborators Cibo Matto, Peruvian-American hip hop artist Immortal Technique, Reggie Watts and Mac Lethal, Amadeus Leopold, Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto, Thurston Moore, Iggy & the Stooges with support from Savages, Body / Head ft. Ikue Mori, supported by Mystical Weapons, Deerhoof, An Evening of Words and Music with Patti Smith, Marianne Faithfull with Bill Frisell, and Boy George performs on the final night of the festival.

Also confirmed is a performance of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's final album 'Double Fantasy', released only 3 weeks before Lennon's death, performed live with Special Guests.

Plus 'Activism and the Future': Two weekends of debate, workshops, films and performance. Yoko curating a special film programme at BFI including rare films by John and Yoko, Yoko Ono's Sky Piece to Jesus Christ, and much more to be announced.
