The dates for Meltdown 2015 are confirmed to be from Monday 17th until Sunday 30th August 2015.
Each year MELTDOWN offers a guest director the chance to produce his or her own fantasy festival, mixing artists and art forms, reflecting their own personal passions and interests. The director for 2015 is David Byrne.
Line-up
Three live film performances, 'There Will Be Blood' is accompanied by a live orchestral performance of Jonny Greenwood's score, and performed by Jonny Greenwood & London Contemporary Orchestra. Filmmaker Sam Green presents a new live cinema performance 'The Measure of All Things' a live documentary, and a screening of Franklin J Schaffner's film 'Planet of the Apes' accompanied by a live soundtrack by the BBC Concert Orchestra.
Atomic Bomb! Who Is William Onyeabor?, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Estrella Morente, Maria Rodes, Bianca Casady, Sunn O))), Phurpa, Psapp, Carmen Consoli, Benjamin Clementine, Petra Haden, Gamelan, Anna Calvi, Matthew Herbert, John Luther Adams - Across A Distance, Lonnie Holley, Sinkane, Gaby Moreno, Lonnie Holley, Eliza McCarthy, and Monsalve Y Los Forajidos, David Longstreth of Dirty Projectors, Gabi, Francois & The Atlas Mountains, Zun Zun Egui, Gob Squad - Western Society, Young Marble Giants, and Young Jean Lee's We're Gonna Die performed by Future Wife, with David Byrne himself.

Musicians of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in Meltdown's Big Busk led by Hypnotic Brass Ensemble on Friday 21st August in the venue's outdoor space. Plus blinging your bike, vocal and creative art workshops, and singing opportunities.
