Maidstone Fringe Festival, now in its 9th year, takes place over multiple venues in Maidstone, Kent over 6 days from Wednesday 1st until Monday 6th May 2019. The majority of events are FREE, with some cover charge events.

Expect everything from alternative rock, indie and pop-punk, through to acoustic and blues acts, ska, contemporary folk, funk, soul, dance and hip-hop.

Line-up

Confirmed acts include Nine Below Zero, Geno Washington & The Yoyo's, Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer, The Gallerys, Salvation Jayne, David Migden & The Twisted Roots, Flawless Carbon, Harry Evans, Funke & The Two Tone Baby, Best Intentions, White Heat, Tres Kings, No Limits Street Band, and more, with more to be announced including main acts.

What's on?

Focused predominately on music, but also including comedy & street entertainers, it has a wide mixture of music from rock, indie and pop-punk, through to acoustic and blues acts, ska and reggae, contemporary folk, funk, soul, dance and hip-hop. Though a large percentage of the acts are from the South East & Kent, they do welcome performers from across the UK.

Venues confirmed are: The Style & Winch, The Bierkeller, 4 Degrees, Market House, The Flower Pot, The Rifle Volunteers, The Stag, Junipers / The Herbalist, The White Horse, Pizza Express Live, The Royal Albion, Frederic, The Duke Of Marlborough, The Source Bar.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.

Incorporated within the festival are a number of all-day events and dance all-nighters, as well as family friendly entertainment in Jubilee Square and cafes and coffee shops in the Town Centre, with much of the music being free to attend!
