The 15th Mull of Kintyre Music Festival takes place between Thursday 16th and Sunday 19th of August in Campbeltown, Scotland. Headlining this year are The Stranglers, the Dougie MacLean Trio, Moishe’s Bagel, Canterach and Horizon

The festival will include the official Festival Club (with Open Mic slot), the new upgraded campsite, the Young Folk Night, the Grand Festival Parade (Saturday), open-air concerts, pub sessions, free music in the bars, family events as well as ceilidh’s, standing and seated concerts.

Scottish and Irish traditional music is on show at the Dalriada Connections concert with the cream of the young musical talent from South Kintyre featured at the Young Folk Night in the Campbeltown Heritage Centre.

The Festival now has a new, more central campsite with 24 hour facilities and stewarding, as well as a special compound for campervans.

A rough guide to the events held throughout the festival is outlined below as follows:

Sunday 19th August
Dalriada Connections Concert at the Heritage Centre.
Plus an afternoon of entertainment with live bands, children’s entertainment, trade and charity stalls the Burnside Square (weather permitting) and a Survivors Night concert finale.

There are also loads of sessions scheduled in the pubs and hotels plus impromptu appearances around the various events by Sambayabamba.
