North Devon Folk Festival 2007

This is a new weekend event, taking place from 21st - 23rd September and featuring over twenty five artists, representing folk and acoustic music simultaneously across three stages: the Theatre, Pavilion and Marquee on the Green. You choose which stage, and which artists, space permitting.

Friday night is free, showcasing well-known North Devon songwriters, traditional musicians and new wave folk in the Pavilion from 8pm, but numbers will be limited. The line-up features special guest, Bob Fox, plus Chris Millington, Steve and Trish Ruffé, Debbie O'Shea with Steve Colwell and 3cameby.

Performances on Saturday and Sunday run from midday to midnight and include the following:
SATURDAY - Kathryn Tickell Band; Jacqui McShee's Pentangle; Flook; Heidi Talbot Trio; Cloudstreet; Tom Kitching and Gren Bartley; Keith Donnelly; Amy Newton; Chris James; and Ella Edmondson.
SUNDAY - Billy Bragg; Guy Clark, The Doonan Family Band; Achanak; Nancy Kerr and James Fagan; Boo Hewerdine; Les Barker; 3 Daft Monkeys; Amy Newton; Chris James; and the Folk Orchestra of North Devon.

In addition to the music there will be trade stalls, real ales, fine foods and music sessions led by M'Larkey on Saturday and The Oggle Band on Sunday. These sessions begin at 12pm in the Pavilion and are open to all, feel free to bring your instruments and join in.
