The 9th North Devon Festival runs from 1st - 30th June, and features over 200 events in 80 towns and villages throughout the region.

Highlights include an international concert series at the Queen’s Theatre in Barnstaple and the Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe, featuring performances from Kiri te Kanawa, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band (New Orleans), Eric Bibb, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Waterson-Carthy, and Baaba Maal.

Some integral parts of the North Devon Festival include: The Appledore Visual Arts Festival (31st May – 3rd June) commemorating its 10th Anniversary with the theme Wide River; the Lynton & Lynmouth Music Festival from 8th – 10th June; the 20th annual Victorian Celebration animates Ilfracombe from 9th – 17th June; and Goldcoast Oceanfest surf and music festival, at Croyde from the 15th – 17th June.

Other events include an Art Trek; ColourDome - a multi-coloured inflatable structure of linked chambers and tunnels installed on Castle Green, Barnstaple on the 2nd & 3rd June; Michael Ormiston, leading exponent of Mongolian Overtone Singing (2nd June); Barnstaple Festival Fringe (with Black Umfolosi 5, Cascade, Acoustic Ladyland, the Lollo Meier Quartet, Iain Ballamy with the Pete Canter Quartet, Steve Tilston, and Eugene ‘Hideaway’ Bridges).

There's also a Book Trail, various heritage events, poetry and theatre and much, much more.
