An intimate family run festival of performing arts, which takes place every summer, and offers rock, indie, classical, folk and blues over the main stages and there is also a more alternative and relaxed stage, plus crazy theatre and top notch talent.
Nozstock Festival takes place at a farm near Bromyard, Herefordshire on Friday 31st July until Sunday 2nd August.
It is colourful, unique, crazy and thrilling incorporating four stages, three dance arenas, a theatre and comedy area with round the clock giggles and a new kind of burlesque glamour, cinema, kids corner, two bars, food and drink, diverse stalls and circus skills.
The confirmed acts include Scratch Perverts, and MC Dynamite, Buzzcocks, Red Light Company, Andy C + MC GQ, Rusko, The Anomalies, Weapons Of Sound, Neck, The Roseville Band, Talons, Krafty Kuts, Alessi's Ark, Sicknote, The Joy Formidable, Baddies, Two Door Cinema Club, Peter Bruntnell, Boatbar To Hamburg, Louis Barrabas, Revere, Gabby Young and Other Animals, London Elektricity, HiJak, Sonny Wharton, DJ Sy, and Tribe Of Frog presents with OOOD, Dickster, and more. As well as an acoustic area and bars and café nestled amidst the trees and surrounded by colour, art and madness, expect two dance arenas providing hip hop, drum 'n' bass and trance through to the early hours. 2009 looks set to be more expansive, varied and jam packed with even more quality entertainment than before with new stages popping up each year, visual and sonic treats await. Expect some more surprises.
After hours the comedy tent becomes a haven for all things burlesque with Dusty Limits alongside Kurt Weil inspired songs, La John Joseph, Miss Laurie Hagen, and more.
The Bantam Of The Opera: Theatre Tent will host the Courtyard Senior Youth Theatre Workshops & Production with Dave Durant and Kate Ganderton..
The Comedy Tent line-up includes Rob Deering, and Alun Cochraine alongside an Up For Comedy? line-up including Bethany Black, Pat Gallagher, Anna Kierle, Andy Whatson, Andy Niner, Ian Cognito, Ashley Frieze, Al Rudge (comedy magician), Anonymous the Poet, Janice Conorlly (aka Barbara Nice), Karen Bayley, Helen Huscroft, Darren P Phillips, Chris Lynam, Pete Teckman, Ben Lawes, Rob Coleman, and Darren Ruddel.
The Little Wonderland Kids Area will include Poppet Puppets, Theatre of Alchemy, Little Bookworms, Monster Works, The Knitting Noras, African Music Workshops, Kalm Kids, and Green eyed Monster Arts Workshop.
Nozstock's resident cinetent showcases a collection of eclectic short films varying through documentaries, live-action narrative tales, music videos, animations and experimental works. This year the festival is planning to welcome programmes from BBC Film Network, onedotzero, Shortsip, Encounters, Borderlines and locals Rural Media.
