Now in its fifth year, One Love festival, happens from Friday 10th until Sunday 12th August 2012, at a new location, moving away from London to The Hop Farm, Paddock Wood, Tonbridge, in Kent.

Line-up

The latest additions are headliners Radio Riddler doing a reggae version of Purple Rain, Jumping Jack Frost, Nicky Blackmarket, Funky Flirt, Uncle Dugs, Dialect & Kosine, and Mr Innovation.

Ethos

Created in recognition of one of the worlds greatest ever rock gig, Bob Marley's famous 1978 'One Love' concert, the One Love Festival is the UK's only annual Reggae Camping Festival.

Tickets

An adult (aged 16+) ticket is priced at £100. Children's tickets (for those aged 5 to 15 years) are priced at £60. Children aged under 5 years can attend for free. Please note that all under 18 year olds must be accompanied to the festival by an adult. An adult cannot be responsible for more than 4 under 18 year olds each. Proof of age for child tickets may be required on site. Live in vehicle tickets are priced at £45 for weekend.

On site

The Hop Farm Family Park is established as a site for other events such as The Hop Farm Music Festival and The War and Peace Shows – with family attractions such as 'Yesterday', 'The Hop Story Museum' and 'Wax Museum', 'Enchanted Kingdom' children's play area, 'Children's Driving School', 'Magic Factory' - a fun house 'A Petting farm' and 'Victorian carousel' and 'maze' to entertain the Children.

Theme

This year's theme is 'Crazy Wigs'.

Charity

This year the festival is raising awareness for Breast Cancer - via Coppafeel and Marie Curie stalls at the event and will be Raising Money for local McCartney Ward at Conquest Hospital by pledging £1 for Every Customer that comes to the Box Office wearing a Crazy Wig on arrival and asking if you not wearing a wig to donate what you can.

Film

The festival will also host the screening of the Largest Reggae Film Programme in Europe at this year showing Reggae Films over the entire weekend event within special cinema area. With special guest appearances from some of the stars filmed in them, and hosted by Roots Manuva's Connie B. The RFF UNESCO Honour Award musical documentary Bob Marley: The Making of a Legend at One Love Festival followed by a very special Question and Answer session with Esther Anderson, Caribbean's First Lady of Film and Music. Falling on the 50th Anniversary of Jamaica's independence year. The new festival site is a green field site in Kent, with the festival coming full circle and moving back to South East where the event started back in 1998.

Each year the festival grows organically both in production, vision and in Reggae Fans and this years move is to sustain this growth for future years – but still keeping to the original vibe of a intimate fun and friendly event. It is now established a platform on the Reggae and Dub artist touring circuit and when you attend One Love Festival you see familiar faces from resident artists that support them year in year out alongside guest / touring artists that you grew up listening to side by side with up and coming exciting new acts.
