This event aims to promote an exchange of knowledge and assist understanding of how positive, sustainable changes can be made for people, the environment and animals. There will be workshops (permaculture, music, therapy, meditation etc), exhibitions and treatments available from recognised therapists, as well the chance to chat to like-minded people along with members of the British Permaculture Association.
Unsigned local bands will be appearing on Saturday between 5pm and midnight for the festival concert. Some of them will also be appearing acoustically on Sunday evening for a more intimate audience participation event.
The line-up so far includes: The Moobs - an acoustic duo led by Andy Shardlow; Billy Glew - (sometimes known as the Zooks) a rock experimental band; NIU-B - a young new-age indie rock band with thought provoking lyrics (none of the members of the band are over the age of 19 years); Citizen - a 3 piece folk rock band; Maghribi Beat - a UK based moroccan dance band playing music in the Moroccan style; Up-Turns - a 3 piece funk and reggae style band; and Shiver Slinky - a 4 piece ethnic rock band - headlining.
Other music-based events over the weekend include Global Grooves - a solar and wind powered DJ system, Peruvian panpipes music provided by Horlando Salinas Castillo and drumming/percussion/rhythm workshops presented by various members of ceremonial-percussion-trance band, The Sonic Forge.
Camping is also free. Although facilities are limited, cheap organic vegetarian food can be purchased on site.
Please note that visitors are requested to leave their cars in the village and walk the short distance up to the festival site. It is important to book in advance as space is probably limited. For further information, click here.
