World Peepul 2005

World Peepul is to be a one-day, outdoor music festival, hosted by the Peepul Centre and featuring some of the best local, regional, national and international world music artists.

Aiming to celebrate the musical diversity found in the city, region, and beyond, there will be five hours of on-stage live music with diverseand wide-ranging origins from Zimbabwe, Cuba, Madagascar, the Caribbean and India, and supported by local British-born talent to reflect the flavours and influences of our multicultural community.

Artists already confirmed include: Fun Da Mental; Harare Dread; jazz artist, Najma Akhtar; and La Sonera Calaveras.

There will also be cuisine from all four corners of the earth, and various opportunities for all the family to participate in world arts and crafts.
