Open from 10-6pm every day, and set in Ragley Hall's historic park, Ragley Green Fair offers a wide variety of attractions from music through to speakers, a Children's Area plus stalls and workshops.
Music is expected from the following artists: The Swervy World of Stephanie Spitz; Smerkin Merkins; Sarah Lawton's Kokomo; Kate Doubleday; Professor Kayoss; Tashi Lhumpo Monks; Gojo Music; Katus; and Kangeroo Moon(headlining on Saturday).
Speakers include: Daniel Harris - Visions of a World at Peace; Ross Barbour - Composting made Easy; and Ian Davison - Climate Change.
The Children's Area includes masses of entertainment for younger ones such as: Fairy Workshops (crowns, masks, lanterns, shields); making Nest boxes with Stuart Bell; storytelling with Calvin Cuminskey; a mime clown - Mr Pineapple Head; dragon-making with Morag Scully; and Mystic Swing - a hand and solar powered fairground ride.
Other attractions include: Sticky Exhibits; Chai Chapel Drum Workshops; Henry's Beard organic feast; Green Police; Green business and biodiesel exhibits; plus a Greening The Home exhibition with examples of Solar & Wind power; wood pellet boilers; eco-friendly cleaning projects; Energy Advice; solar hot water; a pedal powered washing machine; natural paints; green energy companies; and Forestry Certified garden furniture.
There are also lots of healing workshops with taster classes and demonstrations. Examples include: belly dancing; Chi gung; crystal meditation; pilates; relaxation and meditation; and yoga. Many natural therapies are also represented including acpuncture; Alexander technique; aromatherapy; counselling; crystal therapy; Indian head massage; reflexology; Reiki; Shiatsu; and homeopathy.
Stalls are Fair Trade and will include: South American crafts; Alpaca woollens; African musical instruments and local handmade stationery. Various environmentally friendly organisations will be represented such as Freecycle, Redditch Veggies & Vegans; BTCV Birmingham; and Friends of the Earth.
