Evolve 08 Festival 2008

The Evolve Festival is a new festival which is being held on Friday 25th & Saturday 26th July at Lodmoor Park, Weymouth, Dorset.

The organisers hope to create an event with a relaxed atmosphere which is enjoyable for families and people of all ages as well as music enthusiasts.

Headlining Friday night will be Lou Rhodes with support from 3 Daft Monkeys, Mawkin:Causley, Kerfuffle, Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll, Pronghorn, Oddur, Not Made in China, Thinker, and competition runners up. Headlining Saturday night are Show of Hands with Miranda Sykes, supporting acts are egson, Tim Van Eyken, Reg Meuross & Jackie Oates, 5th Quarter, James Findlay, Landermason, Bob Kirkpatrick,competition winners, Daniel Honey, and Tom Dale.

There will also be a smaller marquee which will also have a stage and within this marquee there will be performers, workshops and sessions. Plus entertainers, the Yetminster Irish Dancers.

In addition to the artists playing on the two stages expect workshops and demonstrations helping to make music available to everyone regardless of age and experience. Included within the festival will be a market trade area with many local traders selling locally produced goods.

Tickets are priced as follows: Two day Tickets Adult Ticket £30/ Junior (11-16) £19; Friday Adult £16 / Junior £10; Saturday Adult £18 / Junior £12. 10 years of age and under, One child accompanied by an adult is free entry. To buy tickets, click here.
