The Coalition Festival 2009

The Coalition is an all day carnival to celebrate peace. Around the world on Saturday 25th July it's 'A Day Out Of Time' which is reserved for festival and community. People of all walks of life are invited by The Coalition from 2pm until 1am, to come together on this day of forgiveness and artistic celebration on Spitbank Fort which is situated a mile out to sea in the Solent.

The Coalition (founded by Matt CB of The Cool Banana Junkyard Show) aims to unite alternative/underground bands, DJs, various artists, performers, and promoters to come together and Celebrate Peace at Spitbank Fort.

The line-up details are as follows:
Cool Banana Junkyard Show - (Open Air Arena): Andy Mason, Cool Banana, Zetan Spore, Kneebone, Bubbledubble, Spiral Architects, Paddy & The Hoot, Bemis, TILTED161(Formerly 3 Penny Puppet, WakadoOo & Pip, DrumNAtion (Junkyard/ Funked on the Fort). Hosted by Matt CB, Sally Monella & Veronique Devine. The arena will also have laser shows, acrobatic entertainment drum circles, and live artwork, throughout the event.
Narcosis - (Club Room): Kristian, Vagrant Misfit & Gypsie Misfit, Ryan Bushell, Leo Hazzard, Matt Loraine, Monster, Russ Edwards, DJ Holms, Lawrence Cuckoo, DJ Kyko, DJ Rich, Jimmy Neutron, and Aulday. There will also be live UV painting and a VJ display.

Dub, Dub Step, Break Beat and Jungle - (Gun Room): Bubbledubble Soundsystem, Mark Mandala, SDM, SideKick M.C, Venus, Vinnie Void, Crystal-Mitz, Lynchos, Tom Mayhem, andJoel O'beirne.

Video Chamber - (Lounge Bar Area): Trev Thwaites, Andy Radburn, Neil Hunt, and Kye Wilson.

The day will also feature festival stalls in the restaurant area, including Hedonic, The Arts Lodge Cafe, Global Awareness, and an Alternative Healing Area offering Hopi Ear Candle Therapy, massage, Reiki and crystal Chakra balancing. Plus lots of weird goings on.

Early bird tickets go on sale Thursday 29th January priced at £20. A full price ticket will be £25. this is an over 18s only event.

Meeting Point & Travel Information
The Coalition meeting point is at 1pm At Ha Ha Bar & Restaurant, Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth. The Water Bus Pontoon is where festival goers will be greeted by a Coalition Host and taken to Spitbank Fort by ferry.
