Gruntfest 2009

Gruntfest is a death metal/hardcore all day event happening on Saturday 18th April at The Music Cafe, Little Holme Street, Braunstone Gate, Leicester, Leicestershire. The doors open at 2pm and the festival runs until 2am.

Featuring Live DJ's and some of the most promising UKMU bands in the country including Trigger The Bloodshed, For Untold reasons, The Argent Dawn, Cyanide Serenity, This Is Colour, Nekkrosis, Aortic Dissection, Martyr Defiled, Millicent Grove, Internal Conflict, Elaine Easom, and more still to be announced.

The intention of this event is to raise awareness for the "Musicians Benevolent Fund." The MBF is the music business's own charity - the largest in the UK, helping around 1,500 people of any age and in any area of the music business who are in need as a result of illness, accident or other misfortune.

The MBF also works closely with other charities and gives substantial financial help and support to the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine.
