The Big BBQ 2012

The Big BBQ is a new one day event taking place on Saturday 23rd June 2012 at Waterside Farm Show Ground, Canvey Island, in Essex.

The inaugural annual event will see cooking teams from all over the country and Europe are expected to compete for a chance to take home prizes, and the honour of being named the Grand Champion team of the contest.

Line-up

Main stage: Bon Giovi, Kaiser Thiefs, Raising Maisie, The Long Run, Blurb, Junkyard Aliens.

Wild West Stage: Steve Cherelle, The Rodeo Rogues, Ron Trueman-Border, Blue Horyzon, Charlie Savigar, Little Donkey & Dusty Rhodes, Lucy Leigh, Pure Country.

Advance tickets are priced at £10 for adults (£15 on the door) and free for children aged under 10. To buy tickets, click here.

On site

Two live music stages, three beer tents, Fireworks Display, £10,000 prize BBQ Competition, attractions for all the family including Funfair Rides, Bouncy Castles, Go-Karts, Reverse Bungee, Face Painters, and Amusements from 10:30 until 23:00, The Big BBQ offers an entertaining day out to for all ages.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
