That Amazing Camping Trip! is a yearly(ish) jaunt to the Cumbrian countryside by Manchester club night That Amazing Thing! This micro festival moves a night of fun & celebration out of Manchester's dance cellars & plonk it in a field, in the Cumbrian countryside. Over the course of the weekend DJs play in small country pubs, alongside the chance to take walks (optional), attend Balearic BBQs, parties in village halls as well as a variety of random happenings.

Taking kids

You're welcome to bring the kids but the festival is not geared up in terms of providing activities etc. specifically aimed at little ones. Occasionally (OK, maybe more often) there can be some mad antics, e.g. people rolling round on the grass, spontaneous mass outbreaks of cross dressing, so you'd have to be able to cope with 'mum, why is that man wearing a bra?' etc. It's a big site though so you can camp away from the rowdier areas and we provide a specific quiet(er) area. Again, someone's going to have to stay at base and look after things when most people are at the 'ravier' bits like the pub on the Friday and the village hall as these are definitely not for the young!

There will be more information here when available.
