Good Times in the Park has been cancelled.
A statement from Good Times in the Park says:
"It is with enormous regret that DJ Norman Jay MBE and his Good Times team confirm that their Good Times in the Park festival scheduled for the 13th and 14th September in Wormwood Scrubs has had to be cancelled due to unforeseen technical difficulties.
They hope that they'll be able to continue to work closely with the authorities so that next year they can welcome you back for what promises to be their greatest adventure yet in the land of music and the biggest and best Good Times party ever. All ticket holders are advised to contact their ticket agencies who will arrange their refund."
Good Times in the Park festival takes place on Wormwood Scrubs Park, in London on the weekend of Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September 2014.
Line-up
Norman Jay's Good Times Sound System will be appearing outside the Notting Hill Carnival for the first time in it's 30-year history, as the DJ launches his own festival, raising money for charity.
The line-up includes an exclusive UK performance from Chaka Khan, plus Norman Jay himself as well as Carl Craig, Brand New Heavies, The Cuban Brothers, Groove Armada, David Rodigan, Dub Pistols, Goldie, Jazzie B, Ms Dynamite, Idris Elba, Andrew Ashong, Fabio & Grooverider, Jeremy Healy, LTJ Bukem, Maurice Fulton, Seb Fontaine, Toddla T & MC DRS, Secretsundaze's Giles Smith and James Priestley, Terry Farley, and many more acts to be revealed soon.
Spread over three stages, Norman has selected a line up of true music pioneers, from retro and contemporary club and festival culture.
Tickets
A weekend adult ticket is priced at £79.25 for adults, and £36.75 for a young person (aged 13-17 years). A Saturday only ticket is priced at £44.25 for adults, and £26.75 for a young person (aged 13-17 years). A Sunday only ticket is priced at £39.25 for adults, and £24.25 for a young person (aged 13-17 years). Children aged under 12 years can attend for free, all prices include booking fees.
All proceeds from the festival will go to four key charities Norman supports; Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, Damilola Taylor Trust, Prostate Cancer UK and Coppafeel!
Good Times In The Park is a fully inclusive weekend event, embracing community vibes and carnival party atmosphere for all ages. Part of the festival's emphasis is also focusing on supporting new talent with the Good Times seal of approval. Jamal Edwards' of SBTV will be hosting the Spotlight Arena over the weekend.
