The Elephant and The Nun 2015

The 4th annual The Elephant and The Nun is a FREE event utilising some of the amazing creative community in Southwark from all genres taking place in Burgess Park on Saturday 15th August 2015.

A one day family-friendly festival that will see Burgess Park filled with lively musical performances, an African market, family-friendly activities, a food village and huge funfair. This year a troupe of more than 120 young dancers and musicians will parade around the park alongside a number of stages and Global Local.

Line-up

The Movement Factory Live, Africa Live with African influenced bespoke goods, arts and crafts, fashion, holistic therapies, live music and cuisine.

The Global Local stage will showcase its uniquely diverse music programme, sharing the stage between the very best Southwark-grown music talent, and emerging artists, with rhythms from around the globe, courtesy of the Global Local music project.

Plus George Irvin’s Family Fair, Dream House, Bouncing Cats & Boom Boom Pups, Kinetika Bloco, Rumble in the Jumble the second hand market, Bikes at Burgess, plus a whole load of markets across the event with art, crafts, charity and information stall plus food and drink from around the world.
