Pigstock started out in 1996 as a showcase for local talent from Denbigh Folk Club and surrounding areas. With a strong will to diversify musically, it grew year by year, attracting crowds in the region of 3000, to become one of the town's major annual highlights. The festival ended on a high in 2005.
