Porthcawl Elvis Festival 2009

Claiming to be Europe's biggest gathering of Elvis artistes and their fans, this event offers 3 days of fun and music all over the normally sleepy seaside town of Porthcawl, roughly halfway between Cardiff and Swansea, near to Bridgend.

The programme includes an official Festival Launch on Friday with a champagne reception and the chance to meet the artists and celebrities. Please note this show is only open to VIP Ticket Holders and Festival guests. Plus The Best Festival Elvis Competition (Heat One), and The Irish Masters followed by last year's winner Paul Malloy with Porthcawl House Band, Red Alert.

Saturday will include The Best Festival Elvis Competition (Heat Two) followed by The Grand Final Award Show in the World for Elvis Tribute Artists. The show is followed by the Elvies Aftershow Disco into the early hours.

On Sunday, there's The Elvis Gospel Show hosted by the Rev Steve Caprice, with his special guests performing. Followed by Elvis at the Movies, and in the evening Trilogy - a new show for 2009. Three three shows Sun Studio with Kirk Turner, Ben Portsmouth's '68 Special, and Vegas with Paul Larcombe and Johnnie Lee Memphis.

Prices for shows vary from £5 to £30 and there is also a VIP ticket package (£99) available with admission to all official shows, reserved, prime floorshow seats, T-Shirt, entry to the Pavilion VIP Bar and invitations to aftershow parties on all three nights.
