Back for a third year Liverpool Pride celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender life, at Liverpool's Pier-Head and in the Stanley Street Gay Quarter on Saturday 4th August 2012.

In addition to this, there will be a weekend of cultural events taking place at some of Liverpool's most influential arts and cultural establishments. . Bursting onto the scene in 2010, the inaugural Liverpool Pride festival attracted over 20,000 people, which was doubled to over 44,000 in 2011.The Big Weekend includes a main stage with live acts, cabaret stage, dance tent, sport zone, the largest ever mass blessing demonstrating for equal partnership rights, Lifestyle Expo (where you can get free holistic therapies or find about health needs), women's space, street and circus entertainment, market stalls and all the bars and clubs in Manchester's famous Gay Village.
The festival's Nautical but Nice theme gives a nod to the city's commemoration of the 100 year anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, whilst at the same time, celebrating the city's rich maritime history and taking advantage of the main festival site, which sits on the banks of the River Mersey.
