Northern Pride 2011

Northern Pride is billed as the "biggest free lgbt festival in the North East", and voted as one of the top five Pride destinations last year with 21,000 people visiting the park on the day, In 2011 the event takes place on Saturday 16th July at Leazes Park, in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Line-up

The Show Bears, Natasha England, Kay C, I'm So Pink, Laura Steel, Ask Ruby, Jamie Lambert, Totally GaGa, Lorraine Crosby, Ruth Lorenzo, Eli Prime, Sonia Strong, Dee Stokes and Northern Proud Voices.

10,000 people are expected in the Pride Parade, which starts at Newcastle Civic Centre before noon on Saturday. The parade will go through the city and end at Leazes Park.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
