Rhythmtree Festival, the three day camping festival, returns to the Isle of Wight and after being postponed in July due to bad weather will now take place in August on Friday 24th until Sunday 26th August 2012.
Line-up
Acts confirmed for the re-scheduled event are Vieux Farka Toure, Dele Sosimi, Skip McDonald, Kadialy Kouyate, Awale, Diabel Cissokho, Wara, Lokkhi Terra, Congo Dia Ntotila, Grupo Lokito, Harare, and MuHa.There is a full line-up for the popular Didge Cafe with its 'up close' performances from a whole host of Rhythmtree musicians and that doesn't include the late night DJs in the RhumbaRumBar.
Workshops
New for 2012 are daily instrument and dance workshops including Cajun two-step, introduction to samba playing, african dance, drum circles and more. All workshops will be free and suitable for all the family.On site
Starting at mid-day each day the event is full of off stage entertainment for all the family. The event offers all day and evening entertainment, in nice surroundings. Youngsters will find lots to do in the CRB checked Children's area next to the healing area. There will be numerous market stalls close by selling everything from didgeridoos to hand made jewellery. Tickets are priced at £75 adult three day camping, and £40 for teen (aged 13-17yrs) three day camping tickets. Children aged under 12 years can attend free. Day tickets will be priced £30 for Saturday or Sunday. To buy tickets, click here.There'll be more information here when available.
