Offering sixteen days of performance, visual arts, literature and music which envelops the city of Salisbury in a colourful and vibrant celebration of the arts.
The Salisbury International Arts Festival takes place from Friday 20th May until Saturday 4th June 2011.
Line-up
Acts include Voalà, Where Two Worlds Touch, Jasmin Vardimon Company, City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Les Triaboliques, Penguin Cafe, Jan Garbarek and The Hilliard Ensemble, Constable Recital with Iain Burnside + Andrew Kennedy + Lisa Milne, Medici + Finzi + Cavaleri Quartets, Evan Christopher, Guo Yue, Sierra Maestra, Monteverdi's Flying Circus, Piaf: The Songs, Chinese Shadow Puppetry at Dusk, Mark Padmore + Paul Lewis, Jasmin Vardimon Company, Brocante Sonore, Fitkin, and one the final night various acts will enteertain during the Party in Cathedral Close.This year's programme will reflect a focus on the themes of China, Dance and Air, and events will take place across the region in locations as diverse as Salisbury Cathedral, Old Wardour Castle and Stonehenge.
