Offering sixteen days of performance, visual arts, literature and music which envelops the city of Salisbury in a colourful and vibrant celebration of the arts.

The Salisbury International Arts Festival takes place from Friday 20th May until Saturday 4th June 2011.

Line-up

Acts include Voalà, Where Two Worlds Touch, Jasmin Vardimon Company, City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Les Triaboliques, Penguin Cafe, Jan Garbarek and The Hilliard Ensemble, Constable Recital with Iain Burnside + Andrew Kennedy + Lisa Milne, Medici + Finzi + Cavaleri Quartets, Evan Christopher, Guo Yue, Sierra Maestra, Monteverdi's Flying Circus, Piaf: The Songs, Chinese Shadow Puppetry at Dusk, Mark Padmore + Paul Lewis, Jasmin Vardimon Company, Brocante Sonore, Fitkin, and one the final night various acts will enteertain during the Party in Cathedral Close.

This year's programme will reflect a focus on the themes of China, Dance and Air, and events will take place across the region in locations as diverse as Salisbury Cathedral, Old Wardour Castle and Stonehenge.

Venues

Many events are held at Salisbury Arts Centre, and also right across town, in village halls and schools. There are free events nearly every day.
