Sea Shanty Festival is a Maritime Music event held at the National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port over Easter from Friday 22 until Sunday 24th April 2011.
Line-up
Artists confirmed so far are:From Holland: Nelson's Blood, Enkhuizen 4+1, and Dutch Courage.
From UK: Trimrig and a Doxy, Sharp as Razors, Shanty Jack, Roy Clinging, Red Duster, Roaring Forties, Owd Chivers, Monkey's Fist, Mainbrace, Loctup Together, Liam Robinson, Les Sullivan, Jon Heslop, Hissyfit, Fore and Aft, Dogwatch, Derek Gifford, Dave & Julie Evardson, and Andy McKay and Carole Etherton.
Tickets
A one time payment of £6 gives access to the museum for all three days. There is a seperate charge of £8 for the two evening concerts one on the Saturday and one on the Sunday. Tickets will be on sale in the museum during the event, and organisers hope to have them pre bookable online shortly.More info
The festival proper will start on Friday 22 April and there will be an artists gathering on the Friday evening at a local pub. Continuous performances around the museum site both Saturday and Sunday with ticketed concerts both evenings. The Sunday will be the last formal day of the gathering, but the museum will welcome survivors and informal activities on the Monday.Accommodation
This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.More information will be here when available.
