The Shalbourne Beer and Music Fayre has changed its name to Shalfest and the event is a music and ale festival held in Wiltshire and taking place over one day this year, on Friday 4th July 2009.

The confirmed line-up includes Stone Geckos, The Worried Men, The Wookies, Talk in Code, Open Road, and Locomotion.

The festival will not be providing camping this year, in addition to an extensive selection of real ales, fairground rides and shuttle buses to and from the site. Adult tickets are priced at £7.50, with under13's able to attend for free, as long as they are accompanied by a ticket paying adult.

Directions
Due to the growth of the event, it has moved to a larger site just outside the village. Shalbourne village is 4 miles south of Hungerford, just off the A338 (SN8 3QF). The festival site is at the top Rivar Hill on the ridge above the village, alongside the unclassified local road to Fosbury (SN8 3NJ).

Car parking will be limited so it's recommended that festival goers take advantage of the bus service which operates from the surrounding towns and villages.

Tickets on the gate subject to availability.

More information will be published here when available.
