The Sheffield Folk Festival will take place over the weekend of Friday 31st October until Sunday 2nd November at a new main venue, The Burton Street Project, Burton Street, Hillsborough.
Burton Street will host concerts, ceilidhs, workshops, indoor camping (with showers), space for campervans, café and real ale bars featuring a selection of beers from Sheffield breweries.
Artists booked so far include Michael Marra, and Keith Hinchliffe, on the Friday, and Jez Lowe, and Skyhook, on Sunday. Plus John Brown, Cadellin, Glyn Collinson & Rowena Gee, Paul and Liz Davenport, Fidola, HEADS, Keith Hinchliffe, Johnny & the Prison Didn't Help Boys, Jim McDonald, Paul Pearson, Chris McMahon & Ceri Ashton, Les Ward & Maggie Graham, Carl Woodford, Pluk, Workshy Profits, Dave Young, also featuring Ken & Viccy Johnson, and Ray Padgett & Judy Knight.
There will be a full supporting range of sessions at local pubs, with dance displays at festival venues and in the city centre.
Tickets for all events will be available at Burton Street over the festival weekend.
The festival also hosts sessions in the surrounding pubs. These include all flavours of folk music and singing. This year the festival incorporates many of the welcoming local regular sessions as well as laying on a wealth of special sessions with festival artists and friends.
