THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
The Small Nations Festival has been cancelled.

A statement to members of the team, performers, customers and friends says:
"We, the Directors of Small Nations Music Limited, wish to make the following announcement:
The decision has been made that, regrettably and after due consideration of finances and other matters relating to the organisation of the Festival, that there is no possible way the Festival can go ahead this year in its current format.

We are aware that this is a great loss to us all personally, however it is our intention to put forward ideas for different events and different venues as fund-raisers for future Small Nations Music Festivals to return to its historic home at Glangwenlais Farm in Cilycwm.

With this in mind, the next meeting will be of an optimistic and upbeat outlook and we welcome all ideas from all members of committee and friends of the festival generally.

Finally, the Directors would like to thank all members and friends who have supported us in the past and particularly to all those who will continue to support us in the future.

The Directors
."
====================
Known in Welsh as 'Gwyl y Cenhedloedd Bychan', this is a multilingual celebration of the music of Wales alongside that of other small nations. Set on Glangwenlais Farm near the small village of Cilycwm, near Llandovery, in Wales, this festival celebrates minority cultures and languages and the universal language of music in all its forms from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th July 2012.

A wide range of music may be represented with an eclectic mix of old favourites and new music from all corners of the world and an array of workshops to keep young and old minds occupied.

Line-up

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2012.

Tickets

Ticket prices have not yet been announced and are not yet on sale.

Caravans, campervans, cars

Caravans and campervans are welcome at an extra charge of around £20 for a campervan, and another £5 or so for a caravan. Cars have to be parked away from the tents and there is also a parking fee of around £6.

On site

Added to this, expect children's workshops, a Digital Futures Stage offering up DJs and electronica music, plus a late night café / bar / chill-out area. The workshops on offer this year include group harmony singing, story telling, classical belly dance & belly dance to live drumming, industrial rhythmic grooves, laughter workshop, found sounds and junk percussion, fire juggling, spoons, judo, yoga, Welsh in an hour, and dancing (the Mesopotamian way).

Facilities

There are two stages, both under cover, two bars, workshops, mountain walks, good food and craft stalls, lots of things for children to do, a free shuttle bus to the nearby town, and good public transport links.

Shuttle bus and parking

In order to avoid as much traffic travelling through Cilycwm or people taking their cars into town. The organisers have two shuttle buses going into Llandovery on an hourly basis throughout the weekend. Please do not park along the roads leading to the festival. This has caused chaos in the past and the local police have warned that cars parked on the side of the road will be clamped.

The Heart of Wales rail line between Swansea and Shrewsbury stops at LLandovery.

Bus Services
There are regular buses from from Brecon (G14) and Carmarthen (280/281).
