Solfest started in 2004, and is a Celtic, World and Roots festival set between the mountains and the sea in picturesque West Cumbria and featuring a wide range of musical and cultural experiences.
Expect top name and local bands, a dance tent, children's and adult workshops, session tent, licensed bar and more.
This year's confirmed acts include: Baka Beyond; Shane McGowan; The Popes; Glenn Tilbrook; The Peatbog Faeries; Karine Polwart; T & Latouche; Oojami; Uiscedwr; Astrid Williamson; Striding Edge; Jenanella; The Curst Sons; Tragic Roundabout; Zounds; Blythe Power; Skunk; Lesley Dowdall; and Dulaman.
The Dance tent will be headlined by Banco de Gaia, and DJ Michael Dog (of the Megadog sound system), plus guest nights from Fusetrax, Sunrise and Urban Natives sound systems.
CAMPING: A separate quiet camping area for families will be available. You will be able to park next to your tent but please be prepared to move your vehicle in an emergency.
Ticket numbers are currently limited to 1500 but it is hoped that there will be some tickets available on Saturday and Sunday for day visitors although actual performers times are not to be released. NB. The organisers are hoping to substantially increase capacity this year but this is not yet confirmed.
