On a new rural site near in Kirkwell, nearby to the Nottinghamshire market town of Southwell and on a new date in September, the 14th Gate to Southwell Festival takes place from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th September 2021.

The festival will be making itself covid safe.

Showcasing international performers of the folk scene, and local performers, with folk dances playing a big part over the weekend, there's plenty of opportunity to get involved in the workshops, ceilidhs, open mic stages and children's events.

Over 50 artists performing over 4 days on 4 main stages, on-site camping, kids activities, street theatre, comedy, spoken word and lots more.

More Info

The festival will happen on farmland at Kirklington just to the North West of Southwell with lakes, trees and plenty of green spaces. There's more room for camping and, for the first time, well-behaved dogs are welcome (at no extra cost) in the main arena as well as on the campsite. Plus there are lovely rural walks nearby and there's the scenic Robin Hood Way, linking Kirklington to Southwell and the wider area.
