Formerly known as Woodworks, and now in it's 13th year, this festival aims to encourage the participation and enjoyment of folk arts, drawing on assistance from the local community. Along with a UK-wide network of musicians, dancers, tutors and enthusiasts, opportunities are provided for people of all ages to come together to learn, listen, network, and enjoy live music.

The line-up headliners Boomtown Rats, The Selecter, Hayseed Dixie, Pulled Apart By Horses, Dodgy, Hank Wangford, The Pink Floyd Dimension, Mozzy Green, The Strangerhood, David Goo, Rotating Leslie, Burn So Bright, Garrison Finish, Papa Shango, Dying Breeds, The Last Men, Aliceband, Joans Graile, Roses In Rome, Fearless, Vampire Killers, Emcoil, With more to follow. Expect over 70 acts on 4 stages with bands, theatre companies, and other performance art groups appearing in an Arts Marquee, a couple of acoustic showcase sessions, and a comedy tent, acoustic marquee, rock tent and a bar tent with an open mic stage.

Workshops

A variety of workshops are usually on offer. There's also street performance, a festival market, hot and cold food, stand-up comedy, live sessions popping up everywhere, a chill-out tent, artistic displays (including sculptures), craft and music stalls, plus children's activities.

New for 2011

A Silent Disco dance tent (featuring dubstep, drum & bass and more), and a Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

Tickets are on sale priced as follows:
Family Ticket For The Weekend (2 Adults and 2 children aged over 10) £85.
Adult Weekend Ticket (Under 9's FREE with Adult) £30.
Youth Weekend Ticket (10 to 17 with Adult) £25.
Adult Day Ticket (Under 9's FREE with Adult) £20.
Youth Day Ticket (10 to 17 with Adult) £12.50.

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
